A comprehensive web application for analyzing job market trends, salaries, and skills in the tech industry. This project aggregates data from multiple sources to provide real-time insights and a personalized resume matching feature.

Installation & Setup

1. Clone the repository

   git clone <repository-url>
   cd Sta160-Group-Project
   

2. Set up a virtual environment (Recommended)

   # Windows
   py -3.11 -m venv .venv
   .\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1
   
   # Mac/Linux
   python3 -m venv .venv
   source .venv/bin/activate
   

3. Install dependencies

   python -m pip install --upgrade pip
   pip install -r requirements.txt
   # If requirements.txt is missing, install manually:
   # pip install flask pandas plotly spacy scikit-learn python-jobspy selenium
   

4. Download NLP models

   python -m spacy download en_core_web_sm
   

5. Run the application

   python src/website/app.py
   

   The app will be available at http://127.0.0.1:5000/.
